The most exciting aspect of our marine science program are the FREE educational field trips we sponsor for the students. National Marine Institute's program covers basic ocean science and environmental education. The curriculum concentrates on South Florida ecology, more specifically Florida's mangrove hammocks, Everglades, and coral reefs. The students experience these ecosystems up close by visiting places like: Sawgrass Recreation Park http://www.evergladestours.com Loxahatchee Everglades http://www.evergladesairboattours.com/ Gumbo Limbo Nature Center http://www.fau.edu/gumbo or http://www.gumbolimbo.org Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution http://www.hboi.edu
